Cape Wind Project Moves Forward

The federal Minerals Management Service has released a report giving a green light to the proposed Cape Cod wind farm project, the first offshore wind project planned for the United States. While some area residents have fought the project, citing scenery complaints and potential environmental damage, most environmental groups strongly support development of wind power as one of the safest, least expensive means of establishing emission-free renewable energy for the nation.
