UF students compete with Recyclemania

Posted by Trish Riley, January 27, 2009

UF is participating in a competition with nearly 500 other schools to recycle the most trash over a 10-week period. Already a national champ in so many ways, UF won first place among participating SEC schools last year, and aims for the best again this year. Overall, the project recycled 58.6 million pounds of waste last year; UF recycles about 35 percent of its waste, sending 10,000 tons of trash to landfills. Help UF be a winner again this year!
