Agricultural Urbanism for Springhills?

A new plan is circulating for the once proposed and heavily nixed by the community for a dense mixed-use development at Springhills, NW 39th Ave. and I-75. The potential new proposal, based on a design offered by famed architects Duany Plater-Zyberk and Co., is called “agricultural urbanism,” and seems to be a response to the need for more sustainable communities focused on local food economies. The design utilizes roof gardens in the most densely populated areas, incorporating green garden space throughout, then evolves to ever-larger yet still small farms on the outskirts. Might this be more palatable for our community?
