Will the G8 Countries Make the Modest Investment Projected to Feed the World?

The world’s leading countries are meeting now to consider the cost of averting starvation of masses of people resulting from lowered food revenues. Estimated at 4 Billion pounds by this UK article, or $5,641,997.39 US dollars, the cost is miniscule compared to recent bail outs. We hope the decision makers will also consider investing in local food economies – a movement which can drastically reduce food costs as well as energy costs and emissions associated with food distribution.

Just £4bn will save a generation from starvation, says UN – Green Living, Environment – The Independent.

Thanks, Ed!
