Cabot/Koppers Site: Future Land Use Goals Discussion
Date: Friday, March 26, 2010
Time: 2-4 pm
Location: Parkview Baptist Church (3403 NW 13th Street, Gainesville,

Meeting Purpose:
Community members are invited to share their goals for the future use
of the Koppers Site.  Matt Robbie, project manager with E² Inc. will
be present to listen and help facilitate discussion.

To support EPA Region 4 in identifying reasonably anticipated future
land uses for the Cabot/Koppers Superfund Site in Gainesville,
Florida, contractor E² Inc. has be retained to conduct a reuse
assessment to inform the remedial planning process. To initiate the
reuse assessment, E² Inc. conducted a site tour and participated in a
meeting hosted by the City of Gainesville’s Community Development
Committee on March 8, 2010.  The purpose of the meeting was to provide
City of Gainesville elected officials and community members with an
overview of the proposed reuse assessment process and to discuss
preliminary site reuse goals and considerations.  During the meeting,
community stakeholders suggested that E² Inc. staff meet with
neighborhood residents independently to better understand the unique
character of the neighborhood and the full range of site reuse goals
and concerns.
