“Nuclear Power’s Federal Loan Guarantees: The Next Multi-Billion Dollar Bailout?” | Domestic Policy Subcommittee

The U.S. Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is the main investigative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. It has jurisdiction to investigate any federal program and any matter with federal policy implications.

On Tuesday, March 23, 2010, the Domestic Policy Subcommittee will hold a hearing titled: “Nuclear Power's Federal Loan Guarantees: The Next Multi-Billion Dollar Bailout?” The hearing will take place at 10:00 a.m. in room 2154 Rayburn House Office Building. The purpose of the hearing is to evaluate the economic advisability of increasing the amount of loan guarantees for construction of nuclear power plants and to determine whether the issuance of those loan guarantees is likely to lead to a large bailout of the nuclear power industry.
