USGBC Heart of Florida to Host November Membership Meeting

Posted by Trish Riley, November 16, 2010

The USGBC Heart of Florida Chapter invites community members to the November Social & Annual Membership Meeting.  Participants can help recognize local green building heroes and support their mission to promote the design, construction and operation of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live, learn, work and play.

Attendees will socialize from 6-7pm, with photos and videos from Green Build 2010 and regional sustainability projects.  Organic food will be served along with music on the baby grand by a young artist, and a trivia game focused on local sustainability leaders.  At 7pm, the event gets underway with the business portion of the meeting, including a message from chapter President, Mary Alford, an introduction to Board Members, Chapter Sponsors, and student leaders, brief updates on Barrels of Hope and other USGBC projects, and awards. Please plan to join us and bring along a colleague or a loved one!

When:  Monday, November 22 nd, 6-8:00 PM

Where:  Thomas Center 302 NE 6 th Ave, Gainesville.
