So, we made it through another Cinema Verde! I hope you were all able to join us – we had a fabulous time in a beautiful venue – Villa East (thank you Leah Sherer and all at Celebrations Catering!) – with an amazing sound system (thank you Paul Brachhold of Sound Ideas!). We will give you an overview of the festival at our next Green Drinks meeting – coming up next week:
Gainesville Green Drinks will meet April 4, 6-8 p.m., at SmokeHouse, 104 S. Main St. in downtown Gainesville, FL.
Join us to learn how this new restaurant owned by Mike Nabers is on track to become one of the leading green eateries in the nation… and – if we’re lucky – to find out how to buy a handmade chicken coop or bat house from an entrepreneurial UF student… I’ve already ordered a bat house to help keep my woodsy deck pleasant and bug-free during the summer months.
Enjoy Happy Hour specials 3 – 7 p.m. Come hungry and thirsty – a portion of your dinner and drink tab will be donated to support Green Drinks so we can continue bringing this fun networking opportunity for sustainably minded locals to your calendar the first Wednesday of each month!
We are also working to expand our Sustainable Business Directory into a useful resource for the community – details will be announced at Green Drinks… Watch www.GoGreenNation.org for further details as well as environmental news and events.
See you there!
Green Drinks is a monthly networking opportunity for those interested in sustainability issues. All are welcome – we meet the first Wednesday of each month at varying locations. For more information, please visit: (www.gogreennation.org/category/green-drinks/.
Please let us know if you’d like to let us help showcase your sustainable initiatives!
