The River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding presents a free screening of The Interrupters with Special Guest Ameena Matthews, Senior Violence Interrupter, CeaseFire, Chicago.

The Interrupters tells the moving and surprising story of three “violence Interrupters” in Chicago who, with bravado, humility and even humor, try to protect their communities from the violence they once employed. Hosted by Chief Tony Jones of the Gainesville Police Department, Sheriff Sadie Darnell of the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office, The Juvenile Justice Council, The Black on Black Crime Task Force, and the River Phoenix Center for Peacebuilding.
