Gov. Rick Scott is supposed to be a big fan of Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
So maybe our Rick ought to take a lesson from their Rick.
Last year, when it seemed like half of Texas was on fire, their Rick called on all Texans to pray for rain.
Our Rick should give that a try.
Even if it doesn’t work, at least it’ll look like his administration is doing something — anything — about Florida’s worsening water crisis.
Because the way things are going, we don’t have a prayer of saving our shrinking, nutrient-laden rivers, springs, creeks, lakes and aquifer.
I’d like to think that the regulators in Scott’s Department of Environmental Accommodation are on top of it.
And that the Scott appointees who run our water consumption districts are up to the challenge.
But, depressingly, the evidence is to the contrary.
