Green Drinks at Brew Spot May 1!

Posted by Trish Riley, April 30, 2013

Greetings, Green Gainesville!

We’re pleased to announce that our next
Green Drinks meeting will be held at the new
The Brew Spot Café
1000 NE 16th Ave.
May 1, 6 – 8 p.m.
When was the last time you did a chemistry experiment? Jeff Keaffaber, co-owner of The Brew Spot Café, has a treat for you and anyone who wants to learn more about chemistry. In celebration of his retirement as a UF Chemistry Professor, “Dr. K” will treat us and his students to some good green chemistry at Green Drinks on Wednesday, May 1.

Come out to help us honor his career and the value of working with nature and science to create a sustainable world. Jeff offers classes in chemistry to anyone interested in learning at The Brew Spot Café, a comfortable and casual spot under the trees at NE 10th Street and 16th Avenue on the near-east side of Gainesville.

Join us for a party and share your sustainable news… we’ve got some news to share with you, too! See you Wednesday!

Green Drinks and Cinema Verde Need You!

Have you enjoyed participating in our meetings, films and events?
Have you learned new information, made new business contacts or friends?
Please let me know if my efforts to raise awareness of environmental issues and connect those working toward sustainable solutions has been helpful to you in any way. I am working on grant proposals and would REALLY APPRECIATE your letters of support and recommendation. Grant funds and sponsorships help to keep the cost of the film tickets low so more people can attend and helps pay to bring film directors and experts to our shows!

Do you know someone with sustainable news to share with our audiences?
Please let us know!
