Save the Trees but More Importantly Save the Mangroves

Mangroves

 

New research proves that mangroves play an even greater role in slowing down carbon emissions then thought. Marine conservationist have theorized for some time that mangrove forests are among the most carbon-rich habitats on the planet, but now Mark Spalding and colleagues have given the theory an actual numeric value. This research states that saving an acre of mangroves can have greater value than an acre of forest area.
