Potano Paddle Trail

Posted by Mike Confino, October 9, 2014
WHAT

The water and weather is just right for a paddle down the Potano Trail (Newnan’s Lake & Prairie Creek). ACT’s land manager, Mark Larson, is leading the trip which will cover approximately 5 miles of beautiful cypress-cloaked shorelines and forested stream. Durable boats are recommended since snags and other obstacles are common along the route. We have 4 seats available in ACT canoes for the trip.

Space is limited to 15 people, and RSVPs are required. We have 4 seats available in ACT canoes for the trip. In your RSVP, please let us know whether you are bringing a boat (canoe or kayak) or need a spot in ours.

Paddle intros begin at 8:00am, and we’ll be on the water no later than 8:30am. The paddle trip will probably run until about lunchtime so bring snacks and plenty of water. Please bring bug repellant and life jackets.
