Seed and Plant Swap

Posted by Mike Confino, October 18, 2014
Bring seeds to share that you have in excess whether self-saved or purchased, to share and swap with others. Ideally we are SWAPPING, so it’s great if you can stay and hang out awhile. But you may also drop off seed, or just stop by and check it out. You don’t have to donate seed to participate; “borrow” seed this time and bring some back at the next swap!A short class on seed saving will be offered from about 2-3pm.

DON’T BE SEEDY! Follow common sense:

  • no GMOs
  • no really old seeds (greater than 5 years)
  • no seeds that have been kept in poor condition (i.e. warm, in direct light, humid, or fluctuating temperatures)
  • no invasive plants or seeds please! See here for bad plants.

We’re tagging along with the Gainesville Area Barter Group’s monthly barter event so bring your other goods to swap if you please!

As always, we’ll have a potluck table so bring something to share if you wish!

When: Saturday October 18, 1-4pm

Highlands Presbyterian Church, 1001 NE 16th Ave.
